Dorset ceramicist, Amanda Popham has distinctive style, illustrative, narrative and ambiguous. Amanda's work is all hand built ceramic mainly using slabs.
Each piece is bisque fired to 1060 degrees, painted with underglaze colours and oxides before being sprayed with a semi matte clear glaze and fired to 1140 degrees. Some pieces then have little touches of gold, platinum or copper lustre which is then fired to 750 degrees.
Amanda has been happily making ceramics for 50 years and there is always another idea to play with and another piece to make.
