Leaf Sculpture - Purbeck Stone Polished

'Leaf' this piece has been hand sculpted by Jonathan, in his studio, Dorset.

This piece has been created using a type of Purbeck Stone called Grub and is finished with a hand polish. It has an overall grey, brown colour with a mass of fossils, which are broken, but clearly distinguishable.

Jonathan Sells is an acclaimed stone carver and sculptor who trained with Portland stone masons and studied architectural carving and stone masonry at Weymouth College, Dorset. Known for his scaled works Jonathan’s stone carving is both figurative and abstract, his deep love of nature is often echoed in his work.
