Formerly, a full time sailor, Sarah's inspiration is taken from the racing boats not far from her home on the shores of Poole Harbour, capturing the views from the water's edge and the elements which shape this famous shoreline. Her knowledge of racing and weather systems mean that her creations evoke the notion of being at sea, they draw fellow sea farers in to the canvas, and conjure up great nostalgia and memories of storms, horizons, haunting ships in sea mist, wrecks, busy start lines and perfect shapes of classic racing yachts.
