Aline Johnson, Glass and Textile Artist, developed her passion for Cyanotype in 2020 by designing and making a vibrant range of cushions working with velvet and cotton. This sumptuous range was developed in her rural Dorset studio whilst she was unable to access her glass making London studio during the Pandemic.
Cyanotype is a photogram, a silhouette such as a leaf or fern is placed on the fabric that is treated with photo sensitive chemicals and UV light exposes the area around the form. Each image and colour varies because it is a photogram which makes each and everyone unique.
